TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND SERVICE

Reach out to us anytime, and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website located at https://guqin.studio/ (“the Site”) and any transactions executed for physical instruments, accessories, or digital online masterclasses. The Site is operated by [Insert Registered Business Name] (Company No: [Insert SSM Registration Number] ) (hereinafter referred to as “the Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By browsing this Site, creating a user account, or finalizing a checkout transaction, you explicitly enter a legally binding contract under Malaysian law based on the terms detailed below.

1. Scope of Hybrid Offerings (Physical vs. Digital Assets)

The Studio operates an e-commerce platform provisioning both physical tangible items (Guqin instruments, specialized strings, tuners, soft cases, and musical tables) and intangible digital products (online class access modules, recorded video streaming passes, and live web-based workshop sessions). Different constraints apply based on the nature of the asset purchased.

2. Online Class Admissions and License Restrictions

  • Credential Security: When enrolling in an online class, you are granted a non-transferable, revocable, single-user access license to watch course content. Sharing account credentials, passwords, or video stream parameters with third parties is strictly prohibited.
  • System Abuse: If our infrastructure flags simultaneous logins from multiple geographic IP footprints, the Studio
reserves the immediate right to suspend or terminate your educational account without notice or liability for refund.
  • Course Availability: Access durations (e.g., lifetime stream access vs. structured subscription access) will be clearly designated at point of purchase.

3. Intellectual Property Protections

All curriculum architecture, fingering demonstration videos, downloadable tablature (Jianzipu sheets), high-fidelity audio recordings, course textbooks, and structural website frameworks published via guqin.studio are the exclusive property of the Studio and are heavily protected under the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987. Users are strictly barred from recording streams, downloading internal video files, republishing course documents, or utilizing our assets for public commercial teaching workflows without our explicit written consent.

4. Product Descriptions, Instrument Wood Variance, and Pricing

  • Natural Wood Variations: Because fine Guqins are individually hand-crafted utilizing organic, aged materials (such as paulownia, fir, and natural raw lacquer coatings), buyers acknowledge that grain patterns, lacquer textures, crack patterns (Duanwen), and slight tonal variances are natural characteristics and do not represent manufacturing flaws.
  • Pricing & Taxes: All transactional values are expressed in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) unless chosen otherwise. In the
event of a system clerical error resulting in an item or course being listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to void the sale, refuse the execution, and return your cash balance immediately.

5. Delivery, Fulfillment, and High-Value Cargo Insurance

Physical instruments are fragile and require careful logistical transport. The Studio ensures all dispatched Guqins are structurally evaluated, tuned, and securely packed before handoff to third-party courier services. Risk of damage passes to the buyer upon courier delivery. For high-tier instruments, we highly recommend selecting integrated premium transport insurance options at checkout.
